How I Work
On this page I'll tell you the kind of results my clients have reported and I'll also give you a sense of my guiding
beliefs and approach to instruction and healing.

throughout your day.
You'll feel stronger, more alive and limber. Your aches and pains will be reduced or eliminated once and for all.
You'll discover the deeper connections between your thoughts and feelings and how they're reflected in your body.
My Approach
Having a solid foundation and understandingb keeps you safe and allows you to go deeper, grow, learn and advance without
struggle.
You have the opportunity to learn step by step from the ground up cousre format. Everyone in the class is on the
same page so there is no competetion and class is safe from distractions of new students with each class.
I work in a structured course format. The course begins at the most common denominator - lying
down, feeling supported by the earth, unplugging from stresses and energy draining thoughts, people and challenges.
So you build a solid foundation and understanding for each posture, they are developed step by step. So when you go deeper in
the posture or up to the next level you are comfortable and not struggling. Each class we add a few postures and take some
away.
Breath is one of the key ingredients in healing and practicing yoga safely and effectively. You'll learn how to breathe deeply and
fully.
Your breath determines your bodies boundries. It tells you how deeply and at what rate you move into a posture, if at all. If your
breath is shallow or choppy, you back off until it deepens.
Then begin to move deeper into the posture or stay where you are so you don't struggle.
If your core is unconscious or energy is not flowing (to some perceived as weak) then you are setting yourself for injuries in the rest of our
body. So we focus on your core: the area from pelvicfloor to inner top of skull.
In you core are 7 major chakras or subtle energy centers. So as well as the physial you'll get an introduction to the mor supple energy
bodies and how they are affected.
An abdominal series connect your upper and lower body. In all postures and exercises you want all parts of your body except
your neck to work equally so one parea doesn't over work while other areas are not workingat all.
So you not only want strong abs but supple as well.
Classes meet twice weekly for three weeks. There is usually a one to two week break between sessions.
Upon completetion of the "Basic Course" if you feel comfortable and have worked without struggle and with my approval you may move on to the
next deeper level of instruction "Yoga As A Healing Practice".
Many Students repeat "Healing Yoga Basics" and move forward when they feel confident they are ready. You can work very deeply at a
beginning level, you are just more conscious.
You get step by step in struction in breathing, postures, movement and energy management.
You create a solid foundation and understanding for pracaticing yoga safely and intellligently and making it an integral
part of keeping you active and healthy. Postures are broken down into thier most basic elements and built upon from there. Each
class builds upon the previous class, we add a few postures and take a few away.
At the end of the basic course you may repeat the basic course (many students repeat several times). With my approval students who move
through Sun Salutations and stading postures without struggle amy be ready to advance to the next level "Yoga As A healing Practice".
It's my job to give you the attention and care you need to stay safe while at the same time working at the level you need. I
see your body both physically and at a deeper energetic level and offer suggestions and adjustments so your breath deepens, you move out of
struggle - your body open, awakens and turns on.
